The Audiology and Hearing Conservation Program provides hearing screening, assessment, consultation, and in-service to promote hearing conservation and the effective use of residual hearing. This program is responsible for the following:
Hearing screening and follow-up services for all students in kindergarten, first, and second grade, all students who attend elementary school and who are new to the district or who were referred by their teachers, and all students who failed the previous year's screening.
Comprehensive audiological evaluation of all children, birth through graduation from high school, who are suspected of having a hearing disability.
Audiological habilitation and rehabilitation of students, kindergarten through high school, who are deaf or hard of hearing. This includes the required audiological services for all students who are eligible for the Cascade Regional Hearing Program.
