How do I become a substitute teacher?

In order to be placed on the licensed sub list with the South Coast ESD, an individual must complete the following procedures:

•Complete an application on SCESD website: SCESD Careers

•Licensed substitutes must have/has applied for an Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) license: TSPC License

•It is the Substitute Teachers responsibility to read and understand the License requirements: License Requirements

•SCESD will contact you to set an interview if needed, and complete required paperwork and training prior to being able to substitute in districts.
